David Thirkettle founded Stratfords in 1995. We started out in sales, drawing on Davidâs extensive experience as a high street estate agent, before pivoting to lettings in 2007.
Davidâs wife Michele has been on board since 2007, and when their son Luke joined in 2009, Stratfords became a proper family business. Michele not only knows the business inside out, sheâs a landlord too, so has personal insight into the pros and cons. Luke has 15 yearsâ experience in lettings, heaps of energy, and a keen interest in innovation.
We expanded our patch in 2023 to include Leighton Buzzard alongside Milton Keynes and its surrounding areas.
30 years in business is no mean feat, especially in a high-stress, high-stakes industry like ours. Weâve come through testing times for agents, landlords and tenants, such as recessions, Brexit and the pandemic, yet have maintained our positive reputation.
Weâve moved with the times too, staying up to date on the latest tech, looking at ways it can help all parties and at all stages in the process.
